Our story starts in high school in Idaho, where founder Mike Steele met a beautiful girl from Chile and, as these stories often go, fell in love. That love led to years of travel, discovery, and deep connection with Chile—especially its southern region, where the striking Osorno Volcano rises above Lake Llanquihue, and formed the backdrop of many unforgettable fishing trips and family vacations. It was only natural that the name Osorno was selected to represent the spirit behind our company.
