Osorno Consulting

Helping Forest Products Companies Reach Their Full Potential

Who We Are

Osorno is dedicated to helping forest products companies reach their full potential by helping them identify, and capture the millions of dollars a year that can be lost in each mill through sub-optimal execution. We do this by leveraging deep industry experience gained over the past 20+ years helping dozens of clients on 3 continents, in 15 countries.

Why Work For Us?

Our work is fast paced and project focused.  We work across all areas of a mill, in all types of wood manufacturing operations, and with lots of different personality types.  You'll never be bored!

Working for Osorno means having the opportunity to work day-in and day-out with a wide variety of exceptional businesses in great communities throughout the forest products industry.  Projects may be ongoing in Georgia, Maine, Oregon, British Columbia, Quebec, or anywhere else in the footprint of forests in North America... or beyond.

Our team leverages proven methodologies that challenge the status quo, and helps guide our clients to implement dramatic and sustainable improvements to their operations.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Consultant in our Continuous Improvement practice, your main role will be to lead client teams through the design and implementation of Continuous Improvement processes, systems, and disciplines in industrial environments that manufacture wood products. Our initiatives will span everything from production, quality control, fiber recovery, product optimization, production scheduling, maintenance planning and execution, timber procurement, and more.

Your engagements will be at the client’s mill site, and will require weekly travel, and (depending on where you live) overnight stay away from home. A typical workweek will see you departing home on Monday morning, and returning home on Thursday late evening, with Fridays spent working from home on project or other assigned work.

While our highly experienced team has an excellent track record of delivering extreme customer satisfaction in this industry, you will be expected to bring thoughts and ideas that challenge thinking and procedure, and drive our processes, approach and methodologies to continually improve.

You will be part of or leading a team of Consultants in delivering client projects, and you will play an important role in helping us grow our business by developing strong client relationships, project extensions, and client referrals.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or other related field (required);
